Hi, I'm Reut, the creator of Art that Sticks, a unique collage art form crafted from tiny fragments of Origami Paper and Washi tape. Each piece is meticulously assembled by hand, with countless small details coming together over months of careful work. The result? Vibrant, intricate images that invite you to appreciate both the fine details up close and the broader composition from afar.
The inspiration behind my technique comes from a childhood memory. At the age of five, I would arrange flower petals in my backyard, forming pictures on the ground. This early, tactile connection with nature and composition has profoundly shaped my creative process.
My Israeli and Jewish heritage plays a significant role in my work, which I see as a form of contemporary Judaica. I draw upon the rich traditions of ancient mosaics, handmade rugs, and tapestries, translating their delicate nuances into modern art. Through Art that Sticks, I strive to share beauty, optimism, and a sense of wonder with the world. Each piece is an invitation to explore, reflect, and discover joy in the details.
